Grab your wheel, tear through the highway and taste the excitement of unlimited speed as you aboard the Wild Wild Taxi! In this game, your goal is to reach the target distance within the given time limit.

Air Hockey Tournament

Air hockey is a game for two competing players trying to score points in the opposing player's goal.

A typical air hockey table consists of a large smooth playing surface, a surrounding rail to prevent the puck and mallets from leaving the table, and slots in the rail at either end of the table that serve as goals. On the ends of the table behind and below the goals, there is usually a puck return. Additionally, tables will typically have some sort of machinery that produces a cushion of air on the play surface through tiny holes, with the purpose of reducing friction and increasing play speed. In some tables, the machinery is eschewed in favor of a slick table surface, usually plastic, in the interest of saving money in both manufacturing and maintenance costs. Note that these tables are technically not air hockey tables since no air is involved, however, they are still generally understood to be as such due to the basic similarity of gameplay. There also exist pucks that use a battery and fan to generate their own air cushion, but as they are prone to breakage, they are commonly marketed only as toys. An air hockey table has no friction.

If you don't have room for your own air hockey table you can always play air hockey online for free! Just click here to play Air Hockey Tournament. Air Hockey Tournament is a fun flash game that you can play online.

Online FreeCell Klondike Game

online freeCell klondike card game
Klondike is a patience game (solitaire card game). Many people refer to Klondike as patience or solitaire (North America).

Taking a shuffled standard 52-card deck of playing cards (without Jokers), one upturned card is dealt on the left of the playing area, then six downturned cards (from left to right). On top of the downturned cards, an upturned card is dealt on the left-most downturned pile, and downturned cards on the rest until all piles have an upturned card. The piles should look like the figure to the right.

The four foundations (light rectangles in the upper right of the figure) are built up by suit from Ace (low in this game) to King, and the tableau piles can be built down by alternate colors, and partial or complete piles can be moved if they are built down by alternate colors also. Any empty piles can be filled with a King or a pile of cards with a King. The point of the game is to build up a stack of cards starting with 2 and ending with King, all of the same suit. Once this is accomplished, the goal is to move this to a foundation, where the player has previously placed the Ace of that suit. Once the player has done this, they will have "finished" that suit- the goal being, of course, to finish all suits, at which time the player will have won. There are different ways of dealing the remainder of the deck:

-Turning three cards at once to the waste, either allowing three passes through the deck or placing no limit on passes through the deck.
-Turning three cards at once, reversing the order of each group of three as the cards are dealt.
-Turning only one card at a time, but only passing through the deck once.
-Turning only one card at a time, but placing no limit on passes through the deck.
-Turning three cards at once to the waste with no limit on passes through the deck, but allowing the player to switch once to a single pass through the deck one card at a time; after that single pass, however, the player cannot go back to turning three cards at a time and can turn over no more cards from the waste.

Chinese Zodiac Mahjong

Mahjong is a game that originated in China, commonly played by four players (with some three-player variations found in Korea and Japan). The four-player table version is not the same as the single player tile matching game Mahjong solitaire. Similar to the Western card game rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a certain degree of chance.

The game is played with a set of 136 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, although some regional variations use a different number of tiles. In most variations, each player begins by receiving thirteen tiles. In turn players draw and discard tiles until they complete a legal hand using the fourteenth drawn tile to form four groups (melds) and a pair (head). There are fairly standard rules about how a piece is drawn, stolen from another player and thus melded, the use of simples (numbered tiles) and honours (winds and dragons), the kinds of melds, and the order of dealing and play. However there are many regional variations in the rules; in addition, the scoring system and the minimum hand necessary to win varies significantly based on the local rules being used.

The objective of this game is to swap one gem with an adjacent gem to form a horizontal or vertical chain of three or more gems. Bonus points are given when more than three identical gems are formed or forms two lines of identical gems in one swap. Gems disappear when chains are formed and gems fall from the top to fill in gaps. Sometimes chain reactions, called cascades, are triggered, where chains are formed by the falling gems. Cascades are awarded with bonus points. There are two variations of the game to choose from.

Although normally the player gets only 3 in a row for gems, sometimes they can get 4 or 5 in a row. And in rare conditions, they can get 6, 7 and even 8 in a row. Breakout Video Game

Breakout games on PerroElectric.Com
Breakout is an arcade game developed by Atari, Inc and introduced on May 13, 1976. It was conceptualized by Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow, and influenced by the 1972 arcade game Pong, also by Atari.

The game was ported to video game consoles and upgraded to video games such as Super Breakout. In addition, Breakout was the basis and inspiration for books, video games, film, and the Apple II personal computer.

In the game, a layer of bricks lines the top third of the screen. A ball travels across the screen, bouncing off the top and side walls of the screen. When a brick is hit, the ball bounces away and the brick is destroyed. The player loses a turn when the ball touches the bottom of the screen. To prevent this from happening, the player has a movable paddle to bounce the ball upward, keeping it in play.

The arcade cabinet uses a black and white monitor. However, the monitor has strips of colored cellophane placed over it so that the bricks appear to be in color.

World Wars 2

It's not over yet, soldiers! Another mess of maps to conquer. Choose how many armies you want to defeat at once, and prepare for battle, baby!

World Wars 2 is a RISK type game where you must conquer the world. Take chances and battle up to 7 others players at one time.

Graphics are nice, game-play seem's built for youngster's though. You can put this game in the category board games I guess. Not being able to move your units through your own territory to the frontline is a major missing piece of the game and is a must have in any Risk-Like game.

Tower Defense Games

Today, one of most recognized genres in video games is the tower defense game. No matter what form the playing field takes or what manner of creatures are presented, tower defense is instantly recognizable thanks to the winding maze, the never-ending waves of opponents, and the various towers / weapons at the player’s disposal to push back the raging hordes.

Unfortunately, the trouble with nearly all tower defense games currently available is that they tend to get repetitive. Wave after wave of monsters assault the map, and the only variations are the type of monsters you have to deal with, as well as the new weapons you unlock as you finish each level. Once you manage to unlock them all, there’s nothing new to expect, other than an ever tougher wave of opponents.

Which is why have decided to come up with our own ideas for the tower defense game. Here’s what we came up with:

New views

Why restrict the game to a top-down perspective? Why not let the player take control of a tower or turret, and shoot the monsters through the weapon’s crosshairs?

There are two ways this can be done. The player can shift to a first-person view, ala Beach Head, and beat back the tide of monsters. It can also be in 2-D view, similar to most tower or castle assault games. The player uses the mouse to aim the crosshairs in first-person view, and to aim where the projectiles land in 2-D view.

Monster mode

How about playing the game from the perspective of the invaders?

In this mode, another player could try breaching your tower defenses and leading the monsters to the end of the map. Again, there are two ways to do this:

1. RTS style – the opposing player commands the monsters like a general

2. RPG style – the opposing player takes command of a powerful unit, a bigger, badder version of the standard brute which looks like it desperate needs to buy HCG or avail of plastic surgery. At the same time he has the ability to command other nearby units in a limited fashion.

An example of a monster mode game is Villainous Tower Attack.

New ages

Finally, so the game won’t be repetitive, the game progress from one age to the next. For instance, the game can start at the Bronze Age with stone towers and spear-throwing tribes. Then it could move up to the Iron Age, with medieval fortifications and raiders firing muskets. Finally during the “modern” age, we could Maginot-style fortresses being assailed by Panzer tanks and storm troopers.

So you see, there are plenty of ways to breathe new life into an old game. So if you happen to be a game developer, please take our advice to heart and try to cram some of our ideas into your future releases. No royalty fees necessary.

Microsoft drops Flash from IE on Windows 8 tablets

One of the web's most widely used technologies is going to be absent from some versions of Windows 8.

Microsoft is to drop support for Adobe Flash from the web browser that works with the Metro interface on Windows 8.

The Metro user interface is most likely to be used on tablets as it displays applications and programs as easy to touch coloured tiles.

Flash will still be supported in the Windows 8 desktop interface and the desktop version of IE.

The announcement about the lack of Flash support was made in a blog post by Dean Hachamovitch, head of IE development at Microsoft.

In the post he said Microsoft had worked hard to make Metro rely as little as possible on older technologies. Instead it had concentrated on the latest version of web technology HTML 5.

Supporting HTML 5 meant making Metro plug-in free, he said. One of the most widely used plug-ins for web browsers is Adobe's Flash as many sites use it to show video, multimedia and games.

"The experience that plug-ins provide today is not a good match with Metro style browsing and the modern HTML5 web," wrote Mr Hachamovitch.

"Providing compatibility with legacy plug-in technologies would detract from, rather than improve, the consumer experience of browsing in the Metro style [user interface]," he said.

Microsoft showed off the Metro interface this week at its Build developers conference in California. Windows 8 has been "re-imagined" said Microsoft and the Metro interface was specifically designed with tablets and touch screens in mind. Apple store, AP Apple dropped support for Flash in early 2010 saying it made Macs crash

Mr Hachamovitch said plug-ins were rapidly becoming unnecessary. Flash was by far the most widely used plug-in, he said.

Removing plug-ins will mean longer battery life on tablets, protect privacy and improve security, he said.

Users will still be able to get at sites that run Flash by exiting the Metro interface, returning to the classic desktop view and running Internet Explorer.

Adobe responded to the news in a blogpost of its own.

"We expect Windows desktop to be extremely popular for years to come (including Windows 8 desktop) and that it will support Flash just fine," wrote Danny Winokur.

"In addition," he wrote, "we expect Flash based apps will come to Metro via Adobe AIR, much the way they are on Android, iOS and BlackBerry Tablet OS today."

In dropping Flash support, Microsoft is following Apple's lead which has had a long-standing policy of not letting its gadgets support the technology.

In an open letter explaining the ban published in April 2010, Apple boss Steve Jobs said: "We don't want to reduce the reliability and security of our iPhones, iPods and iPads by adding Flash".

Flash was "the number one reason Macs crash", he added.

History of Online Games

Much can be talked about online games history and much can be known as well as learned during this process. Hence one should know the origins of the various types of online games which are responsible for the present degree of enjoyment.

The magic started around the year 1969 when a two player game was developed with the basic aim for education. The path has seen an upward trend and hence many changes and new introductions took place since that time. All of these changes were quite fantastic in terms of the features that they provided as these features were completely new for that time period and hence were vested with a mammoth degree of attraction.

Hence the first multi-player game was born as a result of a toils of the scientists and the software developers. Many things about gaming were learned during this period and all of them were incorporated into the games that were built.

Online games really blossomed after the year 1995 when the restrictions imparted by the NSFNET(National Science Foundation Network) were removed. This resulted in the access to the complete domain of the internet and hence multi-player games became online 'literally' to the maximum possible degree of realism. The monetary success of the parent companies who first launched these games were ample source of encouragement for other companies to venture in this field. Hence competition continues to grow from that moment to even as this article is being written. The features hence became more advanced in an effort to implement immaculate product differentiation and the resulting games became more and more advanced. Today most of the online games that are present are also free and hence they are able to provide ample resources of enjoyment without the need to spend a single penny.

Online games history bears a illuminating aspect to it and hence it should be known by all those who love to play online games. Free games were have been a part of online games for quite some time now and hence an idea about free games history is also quite interesting. The first games that were declared free were basically board games like chess and backgammon and today the list has increased to free games being present in almost all the feasible genres of games.

The study of the history of both online as well as their free versions gives an idea as to how these marvels were conceptualized and how were their ancestors(the first original games that were built like the first flight simulation game which was developed around 1979). Online games history is full of magical solutions to all the questions which must have been raised in the mind of perhaps every gamer.

Happy, happy birthday!

For everybody who's celebrating one's birthday:

Obama issues statement on SOPA

Administration says there's a need for new laws to fight online piracy, but expresses concerns with legislation currently before Congress.

After weeks of brewing controversy over the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA), the Obama administration has broken its silence on the subject. In a statement released today, three administration officials stressed the need to fight online piracy in ways that wouldn't curtail freedom of expression, negatively impact cybersecurity, or stifle innovation.

Obama has heard the outcry over SOPA, but stopped short of taking a stance on the legislation.

However, the administration said little about the specific pieces of legislation in question, choosing instead to simply outline its desire that new legislation be narrowly drafted and not open to abuse.

"Any provision covering Internet intermediaries such as online advertising networks, payment processors, or search engines must be transparent and designed to prevent overly broad private rights of action that could encourage unjustified litigation that could discourage startup businesses and innovative firms from growing," according to the statement.

One issue the statement specifically addressed was DNS filtering, a practice by which SOPA would allow the government to block Americans' access to specific foreign sites suspected of engaging in piracy. However, that issue had become considerably less contentious in the preceding days. Yesterday, the bill's original sponsor, Rep. Chairman Lamar Smith (R, TX) said he planned to remove the DNS filtering provision from the law. On Thursday, PIPA sponsor Sen. Patrick Leahy (D, VT) said he would strip the DNS filtering language from his own legislation.

The statement also called on content companies and Internet platform providers to work together on new ways to fight online piracy without undermining freedoms. In a similar fashion, the Obama administration said it would continue working with Congress in a bi-partisan effort to provide content creators with new legislative tools to achieve the same.

SOPA and PIPA have become a point of contention in the gaming world of late, with publishers and developers split in their support for the bills. Though the Entertainment Software Association officially endorses the legislation, a number of studios have come out against it, including Bungie, Epic Games, Riot Games, and Mojang.

Companies that support the bill--including the National Football League and GameSpot parent company CBS--argue that it offers necessary protection to content creators. Opponents of the bill, such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, argue that SOPA infringes upon First Amendment rights and will ultimately deprive the Internet of non-infringing content.
